Admission:

Girls between the ages of 7 and 16 who are looking forward to busy Christian camping.

Allowances:

We do not give reductions for campers arriving late or leaving early. We cannot refund deposits after May 8th. If, in the opinion of the director, the camper must be sent home, there will be no refund of the unused portion of the tuition. We offer a 5% discount for the 2nd and 3rd members of the family.

Arrival & Departure:

Arrive any time after 2:00 P. M. on the first day of your session.

Depart before 12:00 Noon on the last day of your session.

Two-week session: You may depart at 10 P. M. after the Awards Ceremony on Friday instead of Saturday morning. (Ask your campers to pack earlier in the day.) Campers should not leave camp with visitors unless in the case of an emergency.

Fees include: art, great books, laundry, room and board, photography, river trips, all activities except riding.

Fees do not include:

$65.00 horseback riding fee (for instruction, trail rides and insurance)Camp Dovewood T-shirt; snowcones, sodas, and treats at the store.

Insurance:

Our policy does cover accidents. It does not cover illness and prescriptions. These expenses will be billed to the individual's parents.

Personal belongings:

Please label all clothing and personal belongings!

Spending money:

$25.00 for two weeks and $15.00 for one week should cover the cost of a Camp Dovewood T-shirt and store trips (after raft trips.)

Telephone Calls:

No phone calls during the one week session except for emergencies.

What to bring:
1.  no radios, cell phones, ipods, etc.
2.  4 single sheets and 2 pillow cases for 2 week session, 2 single sheets and 1 pillow case for 1 week session
3.  toothbrush, toothpaste, soap
4.  2 swimsuits
5.  jeans and other camp clothes
6.  boots (a must if taking riding)
7.  hard hat (optional)
8.  ballet slippers (you may wish to bring toe or tap shoes). You need not bring ballet slippers if you are not
  taking dance. Costumes are fun to bring if you have one.

13. bring your digital camera if you have one and are taking digital photography
14. a trunk to pack in
15. some spending money
16. smile and peanut pal goodies( peanut pals are like secret pals) bring about 5 inexpensive peanut pal gifts

20. socks
21. 2 pair of tennis shoes
22. 5 towels
23. 1 sleeping bag for the 2 week sessions only
24. 1 nice outfit

Visiting:

The only day open for visitation is Competition Day:

One-week session: 9 A. M. - 11 A. M., Saturday, the last day of camp.

Two week session: 9 A. M. - 5 P. M., Friday, the day before your daughter leaves to go home. (You may eat lunch with the campers.) Dinner is "on your own" and you may return to camp for the Awards Ceremony 7-10 P. M.

Camp Enrollment:

Each session we have about 70 campers

10 senior camp counselors

3 junior counselors

6 counselors-in-training

The ratio adult to camper is 5 to 1


Directions to Camp Dovewood

When exiting off of I75 at exit 399 go west for about 5 miles. Take the left fork in front of a Chevrolet dealership and stay on this road all the way into the town of Branford. Turn right (north) at the blinking light by the Steamboat Inn. Go about 5 miles to the blinking light in OBrien and turn left (west).Go 3/4 mile and turn left (south). Go another 3/4 mile and you're there.
