About Camp Dovewood

At Camp Dovewood we believe that camping is an educational process where girls benefit socially, physically, emotionally, individually, spiritually and intellectually for an enriched life ahead.

Socially: Growth happens when we fellowship with one another as sisters-in-Christ and learn how to share everyday experiences with others.

Physically: Camp Dovewood offers an excellent variety of activities to keep each girl physically fit.

Emotionally: Making adjustments to new settings, new friends and many exciting activities offer girls wholesome emotional growth.

Individually: Each of us is unique! Camping helps to enhance our individual talents that may never be developed elsewhere. It is important to grow self-reliance and self-discipline, self -knowledge, confidence and determination to be all that God has made us to be.

Spiritually: Each morning we let God take charge of our day. It is fun to grow in His Word, making our daily lives more fulfilled.

Intellectually: Our total curriculum serves as a catalyst to stimulate intellectual growth in each girl at Camp Dovewood. Our camp in more than a recreational camp; it is a learning environment where future Christian leaders can cultivate their talents for God's glory.

Our senior counselors are college students or college graduates who are born-again Christians. God brings talented and loving staff members to Camp Dovewood who use their gifts to serve others and who continually give God the glory.

We believe that when a girl grows socially, physically, emotionally, individually, spiritually, and intellectually, she develops each of the necessary spokes of life's wheel, enabling her to be God's total child.

We also believe in interdenominational camping because it offers the opportunity for girls of all faiths to share with one another as sisters-in-Christ.
